Hello again - here's a round up of what's coming up on the YPS calendar.
Firstly, we have the Judging of the Colour Print Competition on December 7th, and if the standard of last week's Monochrome Print Competition is anything to go by, then we'll be in for a treat!
On December 14th we have the Mince Pie Night and Club Auction. This night is a chance to raise funds for the club by auctioning off members' old photographic equipment - all proceeds going to the club coffers.
So, if you have any old cameras, film, magazines, books etc. etc. then either bring them along to a meeting or drop them off to Peter beforehand. If you need more information - or want to check whether something is suitable - just reply to this email.
We then have a few weeks off, and return in the new year on January 4th with a members' presentation on some favourite photographers... and then on the 11th we have the second of the season's Project Nights - this one is for Self-Portraits. As for the previous Project, we would like submissions to be taken specifically for the project rather than from the archives! Up to 5 submissions per person, 1024x768 Jpeg please (smaller files means that copying files to the laptop is quicker). Alternatively, you can email submissions...
So, that's a summary of the next few meetings. In addition, as John mentioned last week there is the PAGB GB cup to consider - for more details please see http://www.pagbnews.co.uk/e-news/en53532911APM-RuleBreaks.pdf - the rules can be found here: http://www.pagb-photography-uk.co.uk/misc-pdfs/issue_16.1_gb_cup_general...
That's all for now (I think)
