November newsletter!

Hello once again,

 This Wednesday we have our second Special Interest Group meeting. The email discussion list has been rather quiet, so I can only imagine you've all been out photographing (I hope you caught the Illuminating York festival at the tail end of last week!). Anyway, for this week's meeting we'd like you to bring along some images which you think might spark some discussion; either they are examples of what you'd like to take pictures of [in a SIG], or they are things which you have tried and didn't quite come off [and you'd like some suggestions - whether equipment, processing, whatever].

We also have (somewhere) the second disc of images from the PAGB which we can show if there is time.

The meeting after that (November 9th) is being presented by our very own John Shepherd: "Beauties and Beasties Two  - A selection of natural history images" which (judging by his other work) will be well worth seeing.

November 16th is "Faux Fashion" presented by Phil Winterbourne - I know Giles was particularly interested in this one, so we'd better come and see what it's all about!

The 23rd of November is a project night - more about that soon, and the month ends with our meeting on November 30th where we all get the opportunity to tut loudly at the judging of the Monochrome Print Competition!
