York Photographic Society is a friendly welcoming society with a sizeable membership that includes all ages, abilities and photographic interests. The philosophy of the club is to help members enjoy and improve their photography. The meetings help to achieve this in a variety of ways:

• Visits by nationally renowed photographers to talk and exhibit their work;
• Member's evenings when members share their experience or participate in assessing each others work. Members decide on the content and topics;
• Competitions throughout the season providing an opportunity to see each others work and see how your own work is improving.

Whether you're a digital or film based photographer you'll find like minded fellow photographers who share a passion for your hobby. Membership costs on £40 per year or part thereof - or simply come along to a couple of meetings and pay the on the door price of £4 per meeting.
